Das Blog Urban Plant Research beobachtet das Leben von Pflanzen in der Stadt, vor allem in Berlin und New York. Fotografiert und kommentiert von Leslie Kuo und Sara Bouchard. Besonders freue ich mich immer auf die schönen Texte zu den Bildern. Ein seltenes glückliches Paar.
Und jetzt bereiten die beiden Künstlerinnen die Urban Plant Research- Ausstellung in der Open Source Gallery in Brooklyn vor: "We plan to turn the space into a temporary center for community plant discussion. Besides a visual exhibition of plants we’ve already documented, we are also planning:
leading walks of plants in the area,
a self-guided plant walk (with a printed map and/or an audio guide),
a collaborative map of interesting/edible/notable plants that visitors can add to,
a meal made of local plants,
a houseplant show-and-tell evening,
a visit to the nearby community garden. "
